ABSTRACT

Time and again, the research on creative individuals illustrates that the ability to shift and move between the inconceivable to the conceivable is a primary habit of mind. Creators and innovators make these moves no matter the field or domain and do it with aplomb. Albert Einstein, the famed physicist who developed the Theory of Relativity avoided the possibility of “what if” for nearly a decade because of the radical conclusion that his theory posited. At the very core of learning to think creatively, and in ways that tip towards deeper learning, is the challenge of asking quality questions. As educators, we make it our commitment to harness the power of possibility and empower our students by considering what is possible based upon what we know.
