ABSTRACT

Will democracy fail? Will leaders who employ splitting and projective identification finally be held accountable for their actions or will populists gain solid footing in America? From this vantage point in 2021 the answers to these questions are unclear, especially since some state governors are already acting like leaders of populist countries. While this idea would have been difficult to imagine in America a few years ago, it now seems like a real possibility. This is a course that must be corrected which can only happen if we, as the people of the United States, settle our differences and vote for people who will make the changes that are necessary to restore our democratic way of life.
