ABSTRACT

Initially a pair of touring solo acts, Hélène Gustin “Colette Gomette” and Tanja Simma “Anna de Lirium” became a duo unsuspectingly – and serendipitously. Their extreme difference in height, along with their differing approaches to clowning, made them a humorous pair on sight, and from their very first moments on stage together, their partnership was secured. After encounters with teachers from the Ecole Jacques Lecoq, Simma was mentored by Jango Edwards. Gustin's influences include the teacher Alain Gautré, and a particular affinity for cartoons such as La Linea and Les Shadocks. Since 2014 they have taken advantage of their remarkable chemistry by creating a variety of clown spectacles including their trademark show, THE ONE & the one.
