ABSTRACT
Cristina Marti has had a multi-faceted career as a clown and director. From her early years training with Cristina Moreira, Marti became a member of El Clu del Claun, and went on to make significant contributions to the performance art scene in Buenos Aires, developing a special partnership with Guillermo Angelelli. More recently, as the co-director of Lila Monti's Povnia, Marti has continued to influence generations of artists in Argentina. Her intuitive, poetic sense of clown is part silly, part soulful, and entirely revolutionary.
