ABSTRACT
Larry Pisoni's first clown partners were Geoff Hoyle and Bill Irwin, at the Pickle Family Circus in San Francisco. Lorenzo, Larry's son, grew up in this fertile environment, performing with the circus as a kid, eventually moving on to work with Cirque du Soleil and as an actor. In their interview, they discuss clown principles, the San Francisco Mime Troupe, Buster Keaton, Hovey Burgess, and the importance of the commedia dell'arte.
