ABSTRACT
The shortage of suitable men and women to staff the residential Homes is one of the serious factors in the present situation, for so many other problems–overwork, lack of regular free time, cancelled holidays, etc.–are directly connected with it. In this chapter, therefore, we consider the causes for this shortage and some of the ways in which recruitment might be encouraged.
