“Worldbuilding”

This chapter covers interviews about the worldbuilding of The Wandering Earth. The director Frant Gwo’s screenwriting team reconstructed a worldview based on Liu Cixin’s original story. And with this worldbuilding, each character is etched with the imprint of their eras, allowing the backstory to be the driving force behind the characters’ actions. The well-developed worldbuilding makes the emotional core to be easily integrated into the backstory, adding a sense of authenticity to the story.
