ABSTRACT
This Introduction provides an overview of network governance in urban sustainability decision-making and contextualises the theoretical framework and key themes (network governance, sustainable development, municipal policy processes, and participation within decision-making) examined within the research. The chapter situates the research within two case study cities – Glasgow and Copenhagen – and highlights the relevance of the topic for cities globally.
