ABSTRACT

This section introduces the main theme of psychic survival-of-the-object and highlights the way in which Abram interprets Winnicott’s concepts and makes use of them in her clinical work. Following this, each chapter is briefly introduced and incorporates the main argument and proposals linked with the clinical illustrations.

Each chapter begins with a short prelude to contextualise the evolution of Abram’s elaborations and refers to the significant points of her trajectory.
