ABSTRACT
Group work in any profession is not only inevitable, it is a certainty. Even sole practitioners, like freelance writers, graphic artists, and others, must work with and within groups of people on projects and programs. To be sure, much of the work that groups do is done task-by-task by individuals on their own or perhaps in smaller work teams of fellow group members. Nevertheless, the work of each group member, whether done alone or with others, contributes to the overall success (or failure) of the larger group. Individuals contribute through collaboration, for better and for worse. Always remember that teams share in victory and defeat! The whole is truly greater than the sum of its parts, and every part matters. The weakest link in the chain determines the chain’s strength.
