ABSTRACT
What follows is an explanation of certain ideas which come from an alternative view to the approach to hypothesis testing which is described in the rest of the book: Bayesian statistics. This is designed to help you understand reports of other people’s statistical analysis rather than to do the analysis yourself. As part of the explanation, I cite works which could be useful if you did want to run the analysis yourself.
