ABSTRACT
Drawing on both Dara’s research and the existing literature, this chapter speaks of fictions’ effectiveness in conveying theoretical ideas, prompting critical thinking, introducing ambiguity, staying with complex emotions, understanding differences, and considering ethical issues. We further link social work and stories. We take a short journey into knowledge and how ways of knowing have privileged those with power. Standpoint feminist theory is applied to challenge this form of knowledge production.
