The weather was still bad on Saturday, February 20. A heavy, damp mist clung to the ground. Throughout the day, from time to time, a drizzle would dilute still further the consistency of the surface mud, penetrate men’s collars and shoes, leave a thin sheen of moisture on gun barrels, and cloud the windshields of vehicles.
