Communists and the Political Left in Capitalist America: A Case of Peter Krawchuk and John Kolasky

Focusing on the biographies of two Canadian Ukrainians communists – Peter Krawchuk and John Kolasky – this chapter describes how the KGB used the political Left, especially Canadian Communists for its operations in Northern America. This chapter explores the successes and failures of the KGB's attempts to control and manipulate the communists of America, while targeting the entire Ukrainian diaspora in the “capitalist America.”
