ABSTRACT
This chapter describes in detail the KGB operations against the official US exhibitions, organized in Soviet Ukraine between 1961 and 1978. Concentrating on the KGB files of 1964, this chapter demonstrates how active measures developed by the KGB in Kyiv during the US exhibit of that year became the model for other KGB operations against such American public events. Another aspect of this chapter is technological and industrial espionage of the KGB, which targeted the American science and technology, providing the Ukrainian scientific centers and factories with the stolen “innovations” from America.
