ABSTRACT

A writing center will only be impactful if employees are actually willing to use it; therefore, messaging is extremely important. This chapter will offer guidance on crafting a mission statement and teaching a consistent message to leadership so that the center’s purpose is understood. It will also cover avenues to explore when it comes to creating a logo, building a website and appointment portal, and even stocking branded merchandise like pens. When branding is consistent, recognizable, and carefully aligned with the writing center’s mission, employees will be more likely to trust the resource.
