ABSTRACT
Intended to map the global development context, this chapter examines the international copyright and human rights system in the context of development. A contextual exploration of the interfaces between copyright and higher education, and their roles for human development cannot be made in isolation from their global development contexts. As such, this chapter makes an overview of the international copyright and human rights systems from the perspective of development.
