ABSTRACT

This chapter explores the various copyright-related flexibilities that bridge the linkage between copyright and higher education, and their complementing roles for sustainable human development. In particular, taking the HDCA perspective, the discussion underlines the need to rethink and re-orient policy and legal frameworks of copyright and higher education towards a sustainable human development. Further, the chapter explores the reintegration of the relevant international flexibilities that are instrumental for sustainable human development. To this end, it highlights the possible options or strategies that can ensure a coherent and comprehensive integration of the relevant copyright flexibilities to facilitate access to learning materials.
