ABSTRACT
An extension of the preceding chapter, this chapter both highlights and explores the integration of open access (OA) licensing models as an emerging copyright-related flexibilities. Given its increasing significance in the digital environment, the prospects and challenges of the models are thus examined for their possible integration into the framework of flexibilities. To this end, the HDCA is suggested as an appropriate framework to direct the flexibilities towards enhanced access to knowledge for human development.
