ABSTRACT

This chapter contains sic case studies that describe the experiences of early childhood teachers and parents as they navigated the changing landscape of education during the pandemic. It explores issues such as remote teaching with a newborn, teacher's mental health, issues with virtual communication, navigating parental interaction on issues of safety and responsibility and mixing remote and in-person instruction, and navigating remote instruction during times of transition and turbulence.

In this chapter, we will discuss the implications and experiences of teachers and families piloting the new waters of remote instruction. Shapiro observed,
