Reportage on risk issues is not only a matter of science and technology. On the contrary, it is a field brimming with competing discourses of power. This chapter will analyze news about the controversial issue of PM2.5 in order to explore how different media frames contest, resonate and diffuse among each other. Frame analysis on three different newspapers in terms of ideological and commercial interests, as well as professionalism--People’s Daily, South Metropolitan Daily and Science and Technology Dailyreveals dynamic process of frame contention and diffusion among multiple media outlets.This will help us understand the conflicts and collisions among subjects of different power positions on media platforms.
