ABSTRACT

The epilogue reflects on the ways in which more/than/human artistic practices can contribute to the construction of new models of how to live with and for the Earth. While summarizing the major line of argument of this book, this part carefully addresses the ethical implications carried by the analysed works of art, emphasizing their respectful, detailed, careful engagements with different materials and their situatedness. As the concluding remarks highlight, to act ethically for these artists means to enter into relations with multiple others and create collective understandings of more/than/human connections. These are artistic practices of care that do not merely reflect the world but transform it, offering solutions for how to develop future methods and ethical values related to our engagement with and for the world.
