ABSTRACT

It’s important for writing workshop teachers to reflect on where they’ve been collectively and where they are individually before contemplating where their writing workshop might go multimodally. This chapter will guide teachers to make a clear assessment of the workshop they know and love before guiding them through a purposeful reimagination that protects the best of what they’ve done while supporting them through a variety of critical but manageable shifts. Here, they will prepare to go multimodal in their own writing workshops by creating an action plan that will allow them to map a series of small but mighty steps forward.
