Dear Teacher, I teach music… I teach music to students… I teach music to students who are identified as having special needs. I teach music to students who are identified as having special needs and spend my days trying to determine the best… The best practice… The best music to practice… The best lesson I can offer them… The best lesson I can offer them in music to practice… To practice… To practice being kind. To practice being kind and patient… To practice being kind and patient, to being loud and soft. To being short and long, and to being fast and slow. To practice life skills, and soft skills, reading skills and reasoning skills. To be the best person in any moment that they may have, through my music lesson. But to practice.
