ABSTRACT

This chapter examines entrepreneurial ecosystems and introduces the concept of a Sport and Leisure (SL) Ecosystem. Several case studies themed on ecosystems include innovation in sport psychology, disruption in golf, the rapid expansion and growth of esports, innovative practices in cricket, and the use of augmented reality (AR) in SL settings. The chapter explores the future of SL ecosystems, and the concept of the SL sojourn is introduced. It concludes with the proposal of a series of guidelines to assist entrepreneurs to position themselves for the ‘new normal’ of the SL sectors of the future.
