ABSTRACT

This chapter summarizes the key findings of the study and discusses its contributions to the theoretical and methodological fields of mythology and critical discourse analysis (CDA) respectively. It also highlights the book’s importance to the contemporary academic and current political contexts, presents the limitations of the study, and offers future directions for research. The chapter shows how theories of myth can be developed further and accounts for the continued importance of analyzing mythic discourses within the domain of politics. Additionally, the chapter presents some concluding thoughts on Nkrumaism, the notion of Pan-African unity, and the form and functions of myth in politics.
