ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with technocracy is a particular configuration of the knowledge-power-subjects relationship – before political government – and, in its pure form, a device through which the visible and official centres of power, first of all Parliament, are neutralised in substance: particularly, the discretion and autonomy of political and social actors is replaced by the automatism imposed by technology, technical knowledge and digitalisation.
