ABSTRACT

This chapter concludes the present book through a series of final remarks and notes summarizing the expectations and – mostly – the challenges concerning the diffusion, development, and implementation of machine intelligence tools for the study and analysis on crime. Some reflections will be also dedicated to the practical side of these tools, particularly in terms of policy, that I hope will be useful to the readers for reasoning about the future of criminology as a discipline, and research on crime as a broader field of inquiry.
