ABSTRACT
I am not a fighter, and although I have had a few issues with some characters over the years, I usually make it through my evenings unscathed. I have to think that is due to the fact I don't ask for it and probably even more importantly, I have always had “big” friends who weren't to be messed with. My two best friends from high school played big-time college lacrosse and football; my two best friends from college are 6′8″ and started as a freshman on our basketball team and a scrappy 6′3″ kid from Philly. With friends like these, I could pretty much do whatever I wanted to do, and no one would fool with me. They also had my back through thick and thin, and I never, ever questioned their loyalty. I am confident that they could say the same thing about me. These are friends who I am still close with today; they were all at my wedding and we all have children of similar ages.
