ABSTRACT
The introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in this book. The book discusses the emergence of the blockchain technology and artificial intelligence and how both technologies can be deployed and implemented to generate social value. The analysis is embedded in the context of the wider impact space. In the first chapter, the reader is introduced to social business models and social innovation as well as the impact investing market and the financing instruments. The chapter concludes with a discussion of the general problems in the impact space. Among the problems are the lack of trust and the difficulties in scaling it.
