This chapter explores why nature is a powerful place to do positive visioning with our clients and why coaching in and with nature can create more impact for leaders and coaches. The chapter explores some practical ways to coach outdoors and why executive day retreats away from the standard office sessions are more vital for leaders than ever. Highlighting the impact of the “always-on” culture, how leaders struggle to access deep work versus distracted work. The fight for attention. How increasingly rare time for self has become and how spaciousness creates new possibilities. The importance of having a trusted listening and coaching partner for leaders and the importance of creating the space and conditions for easing into beautiful questions. The chapter ends with reflective journaling prompts.
