ABSTRACT

This final chapter contains a series of reflections on the work and outcomes that have been described throughout this book. In addition, descriptions are provided of the next steps necessary for generating an effective approach to supporting PWDs in the workplace. Based on the difference model of understanding disability and its implications for employment, several new organizational strategies are described. Each of these focuses on either the generation of more positive attitudes toward PWDs in the workplace or considerations of methodologies intended to determine whether these efforts are meeting their goals.
