ABSTRACT

The Enterprise Relationship Management Plan (ERMP) covers the entire, joint enterprise and is used as the ‘dashboard' that provides the ‘instruments' and ‘controls' to manage the relationship. It brings together the essential information necessary to manage and coordinate all the key activities to support our proposed management system, i.e. a collaborative target operating model. The ERMP should be appropriate to the size of the relationship. In a more complex relationship, the ERMP would consist of a ‘folder' containing documents and could be in paper/electronic/web-based format. The partners will hold regular strategic reviews and operations management meetings using the ERMP as a key source of information on progress. Partnership cohesion will be created when the organizational arrangements are recorded, maintained, and communicated to all stakeholders so that all participants are fully aware of their roles, responsibilities in the relationship and those of everyone else in the team.
