ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on the capacity attributed to some deviant masons of networking with various other actors involving mafiosi as well as politicians and professionals. Here the focus is on the fact that no mason is just a mason; most people that choose to enter masonic circles (regular or irregular) will have a profession of their own, which brings contacts and skills. The cases in this chapter will purposefully focus on the power of narratives in building an idea that masonic alliances can – and will – offer opportunities to those who are able to make the most of them, with any means possible.
