ABSTRACT

This chapter explores the relationships between Donald Trump as the principal owner of the Trump Organization, Inc. and his holding the office of the presidency of the United States at one and the same time. It provides an overview of the types of crime and criminals, white-collar and corporate, organizational and state, as well as state-corporate. The chapter provides a discussion of Trump’s ten worst abuses of power while occupying the White House. It also details a review of Robert Mueller’s investigation into the Russian interference during the 2016 presidential race, the Trump campaign collusion with the Russians, and whether Trump obstructed justice in the investigation. The chapter then pivots to the extortion of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky and Trump’s First Impeachment trial. It describes the routinization of corruption by Trump and his administration throughout the three branches of government. State-organized crimes may include state agents acting on behalf of the state in the name of the body politic.
