ABSTRACT

Before moving to the more formal discussion of the conceptual and theoretical issues underlying therapies, I describe the family networks I use for most case examples and also present brief (anonymized where appropriate) examples of anecdotal evidence collected from correspondence, interviews and discussions about the meaning and influence of events surrounding the lives of other peoples’ ancestors. I indicate how for some respondents, including myself, it is possible to trace the underlying pain and pathways of transmission of pain and trauma through generations of certain families.
