ABSTRACT
In chapter 2, we present six cases of sports-based interventions, scrutinizing their arrangements, formative problematizations, technologies and objectives. We present various discourses of instrumentality set to work by means of sport activities responding to social problems of different kinds, and how they all place the spotlight on particular groups of disadvantaged young people at risk. The discourses displayed introduce to further scrutiny of the instrumentality of sport, with specific regards to Midnight Football.
