Next, Shekila calls upon readers to understand what she wished her school counselor would have been to her during her youth. Amber speaks authoritatively about challenging ourselves to do the heavy lifting internally first, then to be brave and bold to work collaboratively when dismantling deep-rooted systems of oppression within schools and communities.
