ABSTRACT
Basic Anthropology: humans are mammals who must nurture their young, live in cooperating social groups, and share patterns of behavior that we call cultures. Anthropologists live with diverse human communities to understand their circumstances and cultures; some study the biology of humans, language usage, or recover evidence of past communities through archaeology. Contemporary anthropologists are employed in business management, heritage research, forensic sciences, government and non-profits, climate change, and food sustainability.
