ABSTRACT
As the huge glaciers melted, around 11,000 years ago, climates changed, and people adapted by managing food through farming. Settled into villages by their farms, people built substantial houses, storage facilities, and markets where craftspeople and food producers exchanged their products. Towns grew, formal governments were created, and writing invented.
