ABSTRACT
Chapter 7 is intended to provide a comprehensive outline of the trends observed in the product- and process-related analyses described in Chapters 4 to 6 and draw final general conclusions through their triangulation. These will serve as the basis to profile the three different stages observed in the development of TC, i.e. novice, intermediate, and professional, and describe the evolution of the trends observed over time. Finally, the chapter offers practical guidelines for translator training and concludes with a discussion of the main strengths and limitations of the study by suggesting possible avenues for future research.
