ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on cultural and personal obstacles to metaphysical desire and longing and how these may disrupt its operation without ever stifling completely their unceasing insatiability. When spiritual thirst is not quenched, humanity's yearning for water increasingly occupies its thoughts and actions (Francis, 2022). However, the major barriers to its free flow need to be clarified and this is what I attempt to describe here.
