ABSTRACT

Chapter Four throws light on the subtle relationship between the notion of visibility and that of the public sphere. It unpacks the notion of visibility as a social category and explores the everyday life visibility of the post-Islamist women under study and the post-Islamist entities where they belong. The Chapter also sheds light on the differences between post-Islamists who are keen to be active Muslims and those who work on being active citizens as regards to their visibility. Chapter Four finally shows that in spite of the variations within the post-Islamist entities under study they could be visible as ‘political’ in view of their ‘public’ goals.
