ABSTRACT
The most touching gift of all came from Aberfan, where children’s toys and clothes were sent by parents who had tragically nobody any more to play with or wear them. But children’s clothes came also from the twin city, where a lady of over eighty freed her wrists from arthritis enough to knit them herself. City responded to city from all over the world, institution to institution, individual to individual.
