ABSTRACT

Facilitating parent conferences each year contributes to building a positive school culture. Reaching out to the community in a meaningful and respectful way helps leaders grow in their craft and skillset. There are many ways to facilitate parent conferences and new leaders must implement conferences in a way that meets the needs of their school, administration, and community. Developing and implementing a mentoring program helps close any achievement gaps in schools and allows new leaders to make data-driven decisions. There are many ways mentoring programs can be implemented. New leaders need to use data effectively to implement a successful mentoring program.
