ABSTRACT

Keeping your resume up to date is extremely important to never feel overwhelmed by any potential job changes. School districts lose and gain staffing based on the number of students per school, so it is possible to be involuntarily transferred. By having an up-to-date resume, leaders will have a leg up on the competition when interviewing in a short time frame. Building a portfolio filled with artifacts will allow leaders to have talking points and evidence of their work throughout their career if they decide to interview at a different school. Artifacts can include professional development trainings, community outreach, or anything that is related to their leadership role. Conducting research before an interview is key to being able to interview effectively.
