ABSTRACT

When starting a new position or going to a new school, new leaders are going to face many challenging situations and people. Being prepared for difficult conversations, decisions, and co-workers will allow new leaders to better acclimate to their position and school. Working with new co-workers can lead to challenges such as not being heard in meetings, being added on social media, having a direct report that interviewed for your role, potentially disagreeing with your boss, having unprofessional co-workers, and much more. Preparing for difficult situations at work will better acclimate new leaders to their leadership position and to taking on problems in a professional manner.
