ABSTRACT

Lesson planning is an essential element of teaching. The question is: What are the important elements of planning? Of course, the objective, the activity, the method of assessment, etc. are boilerplate. Aside from providing a framework, however, these elements do little to guide the planner’s mind as to how the students are to think as they learn or what activities/instructional strategies will facilitate the learning. As in many classroom situations, memory doesn’t always serve the teacher or the students.
