ABSTRACT
Ricardo gathered around a corner table in the engineering area the members of his department that were working on the knowledge management project. Bolaji, the technology manager, had worked hard through late summer and early autumn to get the knowledge initiative organized. Enzo talks first about how they started by interviewing engineers, beginning with the most experienced, to document what they know about bicycles and Davanti technology and how they use that knowledge in the design of new bicycles. Marco, fearing the worst, suggests they collaborate: “When this was an experiment, it made sense to set it up as a separate, self-sustaining operation. Marco’s idea puts the Toricelli responsibility under Claudia, which appeals to her, as he knew it would. Rebecca looks apprehensive but relieved that she’s still in charge.
