ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on eliminating habits that keep the peoples stuck and integrating behaviors that move they towards their goals. Financial discipline is mindful adherence to our intended allocation plans for spending, savings, investing, and giving of our financial resources. Discipline requires removing bad (or negative, poor) habits from our daily routines. Elimination is the complete removal or avoidance of the negative habit in its entirety. If the people think about this in terms of health or social habits, such as quitting smoking, this could be a difficult task, especially if the habit is one which is so engrained in our way of being that they associate ourself with the habit. In behavioral finance, the peoples have a term called sunk cost, which is an expense that has already been incurred and cannot be reversed.
